The U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-C, as envisioned by renowned designer Andrew Probert, represents an original concept for the Ambassador-class starship. This design was intended to bridge the aesthetic gap between the Excelsior-class and Galaxy-class vessels, showcasing a natural evolution of Starfleet engineering. While this version of the Enterprise-C was ultimately not used in the Star Trek: The Next Generation episode “Yesterday’s Enterprise”, it became part of Star Trek lore, most notably appearing as a sculpture in the observation lounge of the Enterprise-D.
This Eaglemoss model is a meticulously crafted replica of Probert’s original concept for the Enterprise-C, measuring approximately 4.75 inches (12 cm) in length. Constructed from die-cast metal and high-quality ABS materials, it faithfully captures the elliptical saucer, streamlined secondary hull, and unique design elements that distinguish Probert’s vision. Each model is hand-painted, ensuring intricate detailing and an authentic conceptual appearance.
Included with the model is a display stand for optimal presentation, along with a digital collector’s magazine that provides an in-depth exploration of the ship’s conceptual history, design process, and significance within the Star Trek universe. This edition is part of the Eaglemoss Star Trek Official Starships Collection as a special bonus issue.
A must-have for collectors and Star Trek enthusiasts, this Enterprise-C concept model offers a glimpse into what could have been, celebrating an alternative vision of one of Starfleet’s most pivotal starships.
