Nasturtium officinale (Water cress)

Nasturtium officinale 'Watercress', commonly known as watercress, is a vigorous, mat-forming perennial with trailing, bright green leaves forming dense mats. In spring to summer it produces small, inconspicuous white flowers, creating subtle colour along pond margins, streams, and in shallow water.

This cultivar is valuable for pollinators and aquatic biodiversity, providing cover for small wildlife and stabilising wet soils. Its trailing, spreading habit and tolerance of consistently moist or shallowly submerged soil make it ideal for pond edges, wet meadows, and naturalistic water gardens.
