Following its launch in 1959 the classic Mini was soon on its way to becoming a global icon especially after partnering with Cooper in the early 60’s to develop the fabled Cooper & Cooper S variants. Not long after the Cooper S’s release it was entered in the Monte Carlo Rallye which sensationally it won in 1964 & 65. Production of the classic Mini continued until 2000 when the last one rolled off the production line however this was swiftly followed by the new generation BMW Mini which launched in the same year. Scorpion have been producing performance exhausts for the classic and new generation Mini’s for over 30 years, so it was natural that we became chief technical partner with the increasingly popular Mini Challenge race series ensuring true track to road technology transfer for our products. 

Here at Scorpion Redpower we have updated our popular cat-back exhaust system for Mini Cooper S R56.

The redeveloped system is now constructed from a higher flowing 70mm/2.75” pipework. This improved flow allows for the engine to perform greater than before as well as enhancing the tantalising soundtrack.

Customers can select resonated or non-resonated cat-back systems with their choice of 90mm Carbon Ascari, Daytona or Monaco tailpipes, polished and black ceramic finishes to personalise the aesthetics of their system.

Scorpion Exhausts are proud technical partners of the MINI CHALLENGE race series, the new 70mm exhaust system has been developed side by side with the latest Scorpion race system that is featured on the cars in the series.
