ABOUT THE ARTIST
"Photography has always been a passion, whether it’s picking my way through old family albums of saturated, grainy captures or taking terrible flash shots on a disposable camera. I’m fascinated by moments frozen in time in beautiful photographic memory. Even those gritty, dark, less aesthetically pleasing instances. The inspiration for my images doesn’t stem from other car imagery, or even the car itself. I’m inspired by TV programs like Life on Mars, vintage film photographs that were captured not as art, but as a means to tell a story and the works of artists such as Tish Martha, Berndt & Hilla Becker and Martin Parr to name a few. In my images I aim to capture the atmosphere of the moment so that when the photograph is viewed by again that person feels every ounce of emotion that I did taking the shot."

ABOUT THIS COMMISSION
Captured here by Abby Bowers is a 1950 Vincent Series C Rapide. The Vincent Rapide is a line of standard motorcycles designed and built by the Vincent HRD motorcycle company at their works in Great North Road, Stevenage, Hertfordshire. The model debuted in 1936 and was built until 1939. Production resumed in 1946 and ended in 1955. Four major versions were built, labelled Series A through D (The Series D designation was never officially used by the factory). The Series C Rapide differed from the Series B primarily in its front suspension. This wall art is limited to 100 units, ever, and is available in a wide range of print formats, including print-only, framed, natural wood canvas and aluminium composite.
