ABOUT THE ARTIST
"Photography has always been a passion, whether it’s picking my way through old family albums of saturated, grainy captures or taking terrible flash shots on a disposable camera. I’m fascinated by moments frozen in time in beautiful photographic memory. Even those gritty, dark, less aesthetically pleasing instances. The inspiration for my images doesn’t stem from other car imagery, or even the car itself. I’m inspired by TV programs like Life on Mars, vintage film photographs that were captured not as art, but as a means to tell a story and the works of artists such as Tish Martha, Berndt & Hilla Becker and Martin Parr to name a few. In my images I aim to capture the atmosphere of the moment so that when the photograph is viewed by again that person feels every ounce of emotion that I did taking the shot."

ABOUT THIS COMMISSION
Captured here by Abby Bowers at Bicester Heritage, the Dominator is a twin cylinder motorcycle developed by Norton to compete against the Triumph Speed Twin (not to be confused with the Street Twin). The original Dominator was designed in 1947 and 1948 by Bert Hopwood, who had been on the Speed Twin design team at Triumph. Available for sale from mid 1949, this design set the pattern for Norton twins for the next 30 years. This wall art of a 1954 example is available in a wide range of print formats, including print-only, framed, natural wood canvas and aluminium composite; handcrafted in Britain from sustainable, museum-quality materials.
