          ABOUT THIS COMMISSION
Captured by Tim Wallace in the workshop where this British classic was painstakingly restored, over a three year period, this is a 1960 Aston Martin DB4 (Series 2). A grand tourer produced by Aston Martin from 1958 until 1963, the DB4 was powered by a double-overhead cam 3.67-litre straight-six producing 240 bhp at 5000 rpm and 240 lb-ft at 4200 rpm. Which, by today's standards may not sound astronomical, but for a large luxury GT the DB4 tipped the scales at a mere 1308 kg, thanks to a lightweight 'superleggera' tubular framed body, designed by Carrozzeria Touring in Milan. Predecessor to the DB5, the DB4 was the first Aston Martin to be built at the company's Newport Pagnell headquarters in Buckinghamshire. This artwork is available on a limited run of 100 prints, ever, each of which can be tailored to your exact specifications, in a wide variety of print sizes and formats.
