Field Grey Base #2 is a grey-toned base for painting German field grey uniforms — the greyer of the two field grey bases, designed to be highlighted up naturally. AK's high-pigment 3rd Generation acrylic lays it down matt and smooth by brush or airbrush.
Best for
- Grey-toned German field grey uniforms
- A base tone that highlights up naturally
- WWII German figure work
Base the uniform smooth, then highlight up towards a lighter grey-green for realistic cloth. Thin it for airbrush work; its matt finish takes washes cleanly.
Water-based acrylic — brush or airbrush. Explore the full AK 3rd Gen acrylic range or browse all our model paints.
