AK Interactive 3rd Gen AFV Paint Set - German Dunkelgelb Modulation Set (AK11640)

Paint a Panther one flat coat of Dunkelgelb paint and it reads as a toy; real armour catches light unevenly across every panel. This four-bottle modulation set gives you a proper tonal ladder — shadow, base, light and a pastel highlight — built specifically around late-war German dark yellow.

What's in the box

• Burnt Umber as the shadow tone
• Middle Stone as the base Dunkelgelb
• Dunkelgelb Initial and Pastel Yellow for light and highlight

Best for

• Late-war German armour finished in Dunkelgelb
• Panzer IV, Panther and Tiger builds in any scale
• Colour-modulation and pre-shading techniques

Blend between the four and you get depth and contrast built in before a drop of pigment or wash goes anywhere near the model — weathering has something to work with rather than starting from flat. It's a technique-led set rather than a straight base coat, so it rewards a bit of practice on a spare hull first.

Depth first, weathering second. It's part of the wider AK 3rd Gen acrylic range, all mixable to build your own custom shades.
