BIlly Reeves - Nostalgia Of The Future - LP/CD/DL

Billy Reeves, (“D.I.Y. Pop hero” John Earls, Classic Pop magazine “the best English lyricist” James Dean Bradfield, Manics “Incomparable” Allan Jones, writer, erstwhile ed. of Uncut magazine “a good listener sometimes makes a good writer” Gideon Coe, BBC 6Music) once drummer with Blow Up and founder of Congregation, he found a semblance of fame as principle songwriter for theaudience. The much under appreciated "britpop"  band fronted by Sophie Ellis Bextor.

In 2022 whilst suffering a sprained ankle Reeves took to the studio and the resultant album "Nostalgia Of The Future" is a triumph., Imagine Steve Marriott sitting down with Neil Tennant and discussing attempting to write a modern day Village Green Preservation Society. It doesnt really sound like that but I enjoy the imagery. The album features Microdisney/Scritti Politti keyboard maestro Rhodri Marsden and, right at the end, very briefly, Reeves's showbiz pal Justin Hawkins
