PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Cocoa butter is edible fat pressed from the beans of the cocoa pod. Cocoa butter is solid and brittle but can easily be chopped and melted for use in a range of skin and haircare products.

Our natural cocoa butter has an irresistible chocolatey aroma* and is a great ingredient to use to give your products a thicker consistency. Experiment to create nourishing creams, body butters, lotions and bath melts that feel soft and luxurious on the skin.

Cocoa butter is an excellent emollient and will create an occlusive barrier on the skin to help it retain moisture. This rich, solid butter is packed with beneficial nutrients and has traditionally been used to soothe dry and damaged skin. Regular use can help to keep skin healthy.

*As this is a natural product the strength of the aroma may change from batch to batch.

HOW TO USE IT

Use 1%-100%.

Cocoa butter is heat tolerant and can be used in the fat stage (stage 1) of homemade beauty products. This natural cosmetic ingredient will make a wonderful addition to any of the following:

  • Ointments
  • Healing balms
  • Lip balms
  • Body butters
  • Haircare products
  • Massage bars
  • Soaps
