Cyperus Haspan Viviparus

Cyperus haspan 'Viviparus', commonly known as dwarf umbrella sedge 'Viviparus', is a compact, clump-forming perennial with fine, tufted green stems forming architectural foliage ideal for damp soils and shallow water. In summer it produces small, inconspicuous flowers, adding subtle texture rather than showy blooms along pond margins and in wet gardens.

This cultivar is valuable for wetland biodiversity, providing cover for small wildlife while helping to stabilise moist soils. Its upright, clump-forming habit and tolerance of consistently moist or shallowly submerged soil make it ideal for pond edges, container water features, and naturalistic wetland plantings.
