The GAN 562 5x5 UV combines GAN's flagship 5x5 mechanism with a premium glossy UV-coated exterior. With an advanced magnetic ball core, 112 magnets and a lightweight 127g design, the GAN 562 is designed for fast, stable and precise competitive 5x5 solving.

The GAN 562 has proven itself at the very highest level of speedcubing, having been used by Tymon Kolasiński to set the 5x5 world record average at the 2025 World Championship.

This £53.95 version adds GAN's UV-coated exterior, creating a glossy and grippy surface that is particularly useful on a larger puzzle such as a 5x5. If you prefer the feel of UV-coated GAN cubes and want the premium version of the 562, this is the one to choose.

Is the UV Coating Worth It?

Internally, the GAN 562 UV and £47.95 GAN 562 Frosted are the same cube. Both have the same magnetic ball-core system, 112 magnets and high-performance 562 mechanism.

The additional £6 pays for the UV-coated exterior. This hard glossy coating gives the cube a more premium feel, improves grip and helps protect the surface against scratches and wear.

Grip can be especially useful on a 5x5 because the cube is larger than a standard 3x3 and requires more hand movement during solves. If you already prefer the UV finish found on GAN's premium 3x3s, the UV 562 is likely to feel immediately familiar.

If surface finish isn't particularly important to you, the Frosted GAN 562 saves £6 without sacrificing any of the internal performance.
