Gwithian/Godrevy

Becky Bettesworth's vintage style prints and posters are reminiscent of the 1930s railway travel posters. Gwithian forms part of the award-winning artist's Cornwall seaside collection.

The magnificent beach at Gwithian with a blast of Atlantic breeze is the perfect place for surfers and kite surfers. The constant swell coming in from the ocean provides good all-year-round conditions for surfers of all abilities. The colourful array on the beach of kites in the sky is always a wonderful view against the sand dunes tufted with wild grass.  At low tide, there is a vast amount of sand to enjoy and large areas of rock pools and caves are uncovered which are great for kids to explore.

Seals are a regular sight near the beach and the area is a breeding ground for colonies of seabirds such as guillemots, razorbills, and cormorants.  Godrevy Lighthouse just off the coast is a magnificent view from the beach. If you wander along the cliff top and sit you can see the seals diving in and out of the sea off the rocks at Godrevy.
