ABOUT THIS COMMISSION
The Lamborghini Murciélago, produced from 2001 to 2010, is a quintessential supercar that cemented Lamborghini’s reputation for crafting extreme, visceral machines. As the first new model under Audi's ownership, it blended Italian flair with German engineering precision. Powered by a naturally aspirated 6.2-litre V12 (later upgraded to 6.5 litres in the LP640), the Murciélago delivered 572 bhp and 479 lb-ft of torque in its initial guise, with the LP640 pushing those figures to a staggering 631 bhp and 487 lb-ft. Its distinctive scissor doors, aggressive wedge-shaped design, and optional manual gearbox made it a dream car for enthusiasts. Capable of exceeding 200 mph and sprinting to 62 mph in as little as 3.0 seconds (LP670-4 SV), the Murciélago was as much a raw driving experience as it was a technical marvel, blending heritage with modernity in spectacular fashion.
