Lysichiton camtschatcensis

Lysichiton camtschatcensis, commonly known as Asian Ñ•kunk cabbage, is a clump-forming perennial with large, glossy green leaves that emerge early in spring and provide bold architectural foliage. In spring it produces striking white spathes surrounding a yellow spadix, creating a dramatic display in damp soils and along pond edges.

This species is valuable for wildlife, providing shelter for insects and amphibians in wetland areas. Its upright, spreading habit and preference for consistently moist or waterlogged soil make it ideal for pond margins, bog gardens, and naturalistic water features.
