Lysimachia Vulgaris

Lysimachia vulgaris, commonly known as yellow loosestrife, is a tall, upright perennial with lance-shaped green leaves arranged along sturdy stems. In summer it produces loose spikes of bright yellow, star-shaped flowers that create a bold splash of colour in damp soils and along water margins.

This species thrives in wet ground and shallow water and provides strong ecological value by supporting pollinators and wetland insects. Its spreading habit and tolerance of waterlogged conditions make it well suited to pond edges, marshy areas, and naturalistic or wildlife-focused planting schemes.
