ABOUT THE ARTIST
Paul Ward has been a professional photographer for over twenty years now and recently won his category at the British Photography Awards 2020. Over the years his work has been published in many books and magazines both in the UK and internationally and his architectural images currently adorn the walls aboard Cunard’s flagship Queen Mary 2. Paul’s passion for cars started when he bought his first Austin Mini almost 30 years ago and ever since then he has been obsessed with both classic cars and modern supercars, so, as an image-maker, it’s not surprising that automobile photography has become a passion of his too.

ABOUT THIS COMMISSION
Captured at Shelsley Walsh Hill Climb by Paul Ward, this is a 1934 Morgan 3 Wheeler Super Sport, powered by an air-cooled, 1100cc Matchless MX2 motor that develops 28 bhp. These classic three-wheelers remained in production from 1911 to 1952, although there were several models and numerous running changes during production. (The earliest cars were actually classified as motorcycles).

The Morgan 3 Wheeler was reintroduced in 2011 and will finish production in summer 2021. Hand-built in Malvern, Worcestershire, Morgan says the new 3 Wheeler is 'a rebellion against sanitised, modern motoring, representing 'no frills all thrills' motoring with attitude and character'. Two models exist, the EURO 3 producing 82 bhp and the EURO 4 making 68 bhp, both of which are powered by the same S&S 1998cc V twin engine, mated to a Mazda 5 Speed gearbox. Weighing between 525 and 585 kg, this modern take on vintage motoring has earned itself a cult following. This wall art is limited to 100 units, ever, and is available in a range of print formats.
