High in protein and fibre, with 23.4g of protein and 17g of fibre per 100g, these certified organic lentils keep a firm, distinct bite that makes them the bistro favourite. Naturally gluten-free and suitable for vegan and vegetarian diets.

FAQ

Are these Puy lentils? They are the same dark green, speckled style of lentil; only lentils grown in the Le Puy region of France can be sold under the Puy name, which is why ours are called French style. Ours are grown in Canada.

Do they need soaking? No – just rinse well and simmer until tender. They take a little longer than red split lentils but stay beautifully intact.

Is there a lower-priced alternative? Yes – our dark speckled lentils deliver a very similar French-style character at a natural (non-organic) price.
