Applications and compatibility

For sailing yachts, motorboats, fishing craft and workboats with a strong rail or dedicated attachment point close to the water.

  • The packed deployment handle must be reachable by a person already in the water.
  • The three loops must attach firmly to a structure capable of carrying the full dynamic climbing load.
  • The 185cm deployed ladder must reach sufficiently below the waterline for the lowest step to be usable.
  • Check that the hull side offers a safe climbing surface without sharp fittings, hot exhausts or propulsion hazards.

Installation, drills and package contents

  • Secure all three loops exactly as instructed and position the case outside the rail.
  • Carry out a controlled deployment and reboarding drill in safe conditions before relying on the ladder.
  • Keep the ladder clear of propellers, steering gear and exhaust outlets.
  • After use, rinse with fresh water, dry, inspect all stitching/webbing and repack correctly.
  • Package contains: one Lalizas Safe Up five-step MOB ladder in its deployment case.

Frequently asked questions

What is the maximum stated load?

The manufacturer states a 230kg / 507lb load limit, but the boat attachment point must also be strong enough.

Can it be used as the boat's only boarding ladder?
