From their beginnings in the 1930’s and now part of the VAG group Volkswagen have grown to be one of the world’s largest car manufacturers. Initially focusing on affordable family cars including the iconic Beetle all that changed in 1976 with the launch of the Golf/Rabbit Mk1 Gti one of the first hot hatches and a real game changer. Following on from the Gti’s immense success the early 2000’s saw the launch of the first of their high-performance R models the Golf 4 R32. It was only natural that one of the very first performance exhausts Scorpion produced was for the Gti back in the early nineties and they’ve continued to be one of our most popular models to date.   

The new system features 80mm/3.15” T304 Stainless steel pipework and an improved rear silencer design. The CNC Mandrel bent system is part of our extensive development program. We use dyno testing combined with sophisticated gas flow analysis to ensure maximum airflow & tuning potential – whilst still maintaining driveability and a refined sound. 

We have four performance exhaust options available for the 7R. Resonated valved, resonated non-valved, non-resonated valved and non-resonated non-valved. We have also upgraded the tailpipe options for the VW system. You can now select from 100mm Ascari Carbon Fibre, Polished Stainless Daytona, or Black Ceramic Daytona Tailpipes. 

For road use we recommend the resonated valved system for the best sound. When fitting a downpipe we would always recommend using a resonated system. Please note fitting a non-valved system to the VW can cause the EML light to illuminate.

As a show of confidence in the products we produce, we offer a full lifetime warranty (to the original purchaser). Please note competition laws in certain countries set a maximum duration that a manufacturer is allowed to offer a warranty.
