Vallejo Light Rust Wash

The fast route to convincing rust and corrosion. Vallejo's Light Rust Wash, from the Model Wash range, is a ready-to-use, high-capillarity acrylic that flows into recesses and runs down surfaces to stain metal with believable oxidisation and grime. Dries in about 20 minutes so you can keep layering, and cleans up with water.

Best for

• Rust streaks, corrosion and grime on armour, vehicles and metalwork
• Weathering rivets, panel lines and worn edges
• Brush or airbrush; dries in about 20 minutes; cleans up with water

Streak it down from bolts and seams and let it dry uneven for the most authentic rust runs.

The quick way to weather metal with rust. Pair it with a darker rust wash for depth and a matt varnish to seal.
