Vallejo Metal Color - Gloss Black Primer 60ml

The glassy black undercoat that makes Metal Color sing — water-based, it grips plastic and metal and gives the fine aluminium pigments a smooth gloss surface, so a natural-metal finish comes up genuinely reflective rather than grey. Pour it straight into the airbrush cup, neat or thinned.

Best for

• Priming under Metal Color metallics
• Bringing out bright, reflective metal
• A solid undercoat for bold schemes

Metal Color can go straight onto a model, but for fuselages and bare-metal work a gloss black base makes all the difference.

The gloss black foundation that unlocks a real metal finish. The whole Metal Color range comes up best over this.
