This Victron SmartSolar 75/15 MPPT charger gathers energy from your solar panels, and stores it in your batteries. Using the latest, fastest technology, SmartSolar maximises this energy-harvest, driving it intelligently to achieve full charge in the shortest possible time. SmartSolar maintains battery health, extending its life.

The SmartSolar charge controller will even recharge a severely depleted battery. It can operate with a battery voltage as low as 0 Volts, provided the cells are not permanently sulphated or otherwise damaged.

Solar Panel

This particular model features the junction box and cable on the rear side of the panel to create a completely level surface and professional finish after installation. Unlike other solar panels, the junction box on this solar panel is a circular shape with only one dual core cable (3m length) attached, allowing for simplified installation.  Please note: in order for this panel to be flush-mounted, a recess must be cut in to the roof/surface.

This solar panel has a unique black backing, making it ideal for discreet and aesthetically pleasing installation on dark coloured roofs, vehicles or mounting surfaces. Please note that this solar panel is not 'ultra jet-black' - the exact hue may vary marginally from panel to panel, depending on the batch of solar cells.

The textured surface of this solar panel reduces the reflection of light whilst maximising the absorption of light from every possible angle. This ensures high performance in low light or cloudy conditions, or when the light falls at an angle (in the morning, evening, or winter).

Roof Entry Gland (Optional)

Because this solar panel has hidden rear entry, a traditional roof entry gland is not needed (for example when fitting onto the metal of a van), you may only need this if the panel is fitted to another item on the van, for example a tent box. The wires would come into the tent box and then you would need a entry gland to bring them into the vehicle below.

As standard the kit doesn't come with an entry gland as most installs will not need one, however if yours does, please select it as an option above.

Cables

Wiring from the MPPT controller to the solar panel will be in 6mm² UV resistant solar cable, available in 3M, 5M, or 10M lengths.

Wiring from the MPPT controller to the battery terminals will be in 6mm² tri rated cable in a standard length of 3M.

Accessories
