The key part to any split charge system in a camper van, a voltage sensitive relay.
This allows the charging of a leisure battery from your vehicles starter battery/alternator. Our VSR is dual way to allows power both ways. For example, if you had a solar panel attached to your leisure battery, once the voltage reaches the required cut-in voltage, the relay will close and will also charge your starter battery too.
We recommended fusing this both from your vehicles battery and leisure battery at 100 AMPS and using 16mm2 hi-flex battery cable.
