Wooden Nuts and Bolts Frame

A wooden frame with three wooden bolts and three chunky wooden nuts. Tightening and unscrewing the bolts improves fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. 

Children are encouraged to manipulate the bolts by unscrewing and screwing them back onto the board. This activity helps children develop their hand strength and dexterity, as well as their ability to concentrate and focus on a task.

In addition to fine motor skills, the Montessori wooden bolts material can also be used to teach children about concept of size and the associated vocabulary of small, smaller, smallest, and big, bigger, biggest.

The wooden bolts material is engaging while also providing them with a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction as they master new challenges.

ELG: Moving and handling: children show good control and co-ordination in large and small movements. They move confidently in a range of ways, safely negotiating space. They handle equipment and tools effectively, including pencils for writing.
